CHEM 2100 Chemistry and Biochemistry for Nurses I, 3 units
Catalog description: Fundamental principles of chemistry and biochemistry as they relate to the nursing curriculum. This is the first in a two-semester sequence of courses emphasizing the chemistry of the human body. Satisfies G.E. area B1. Prerequisite: Passing score on the ELM exam or exemption. (Lecture, 3 hours) (Offered in Fall 2008; class will meet MWF 0800-0858 in N-101, taught by Dr. N. Stessman.)
CHEM 2110, 2112 Chemistry and Biochemistry for Nurses II, 2 units
Catalog description: Fundamental principles of chemistry and biochemistry as they relate to the nursing curriculum. This is the second in a two-semester sequence of courses emphasizing laboratory topics and hands-on skills essential for the Nursing program. Satisfies G.E. area B1 (with lab). Co-requisite: CHEM 2112. Prerequisite: C- or better in CHEM 2100 (Lecture 1 hour; laboratory, 3 hours) (Will be offered in Spring 2009.)
