Key to the table columns

Se: . . . . . . . . The broadcast season. It is interesting to look at the start dates of the seasons. They have moved around quite a bit, often leaving about a year between the seasons. The fact that the BBC did not loose its audience is a testimonial to Doctor WHO.

Date: . . . . . . The broadcast date of the first episode of the story. An "*" means the date is a guess.

Ln: . . . . . . . . The number of episodes in the story. This count is in "30 min" episodes no matter how it was broadcast. For the movie versions, figure about 23 min/episode. A "-" indicates that some of the show is missing and the air time is shorter than it should be.

Writer: . . . . . Different references list different writers. This has not been completely proofed against the broadcast credits.

Gd: . . . . . . . The entertainment rating as a letter grade. NC means No Credit. This is not a literary grade. It is based solely on how well I liked the movie version. I like humor, Doctor / companion interaction, and a quick pace more than I like monsters, bombs, and chases. All the ratings, except Hartnell & three C. Baker, are based on 2 or more viewings. Doctor WHO is more complex than it appears and often the rating improves on the second viewing. Another testimonial for Doctor WHO. A grade of "MA" or "MP" means that all or part of the show has been destroyed and it is not broadcast.

Title: . . . . . . These should all be the movie version title. Some alternate titles are listed in parenthesis here and with the story line. The very first story has been separated into two parts because of the ratings.

Doctor: . . . . The actor playing the Doctor.

Companions: . The companions. My favorite people.

Fic-Date: . . . Year the story takes place - Format explanations: A "-" indicates BC instead of AD. K=thousand, M=million, B=billion. An "s" means "in that era". An "*" means no year could be determined and the earth broadcast date was used.

Location: . . Place the story takes place.

Story line: . . A short description of the story originally designed as a trigger to help me remember the story. This has been expanded so you might be able to understand it. If not, try reading the Title and the Location also.

Hardcopy printing notes: . . . This was originally done in hardcopy in 1990 and was distributed through several small fan clubs and KVIE Channel 6, the PBS station in Sacramento, CA. The hardcopy was prepared using Microsoft Word 5.1a for the Mac. It is laid out to be printed on an Apple Stylewriter with the Page Setup set for; Page Size - US Letter, Scaling - 74%, Orientation - Landscape, Fractional Widths ON. The main font is Helvetica. A binhexed copy of the original is available for download.
