Serious Perfection

Chef! is an atypical comedy. Many consider it a black comedy and they are not referring to skin color. It's just that the lead characeter is pretty much an arrogant bastard of an employer. But he is an exceptionally competent chef and runs an exceptional gourmet restaurant. Serious Perfection as the title song says.

The show was good enough for me to keep 12 of the 13 episodes I saw on tape for future viewing. I didn't grade or make summaries of the episodes. I'm not even sure I ever saw the special. I know episode 2-7 was broadcast out of order and I know I didn't see season 3 because the show last aired in our area in 1995.
