    Food Disasters:
Russell prepares to take the sponge desert to Ben. It's almost as hard as the sponge in the second episode and the custard to go with it won't pour at all until he uses a spoon and it falls out in a heap.

    Special Scenes:
When the boys return to the kitchen after telling Ben they will not smoke pot anymore, Ria is sitting in a comfortable chair lighting up a joint and asks how long they said it would take to make a day go away?

    Mini Cooper use:
The ultimate musical cars scene takes place in the beginning as the boys get the party guests to leave the morning after.

    Summary:
There is a mess of cars outside the house from a party. Adam staggers to a window to open the blinds. Russell staggers in to make coffee. Adam yells at the guests to get up and leave. Musical cars ensues, waking all the neighbors, including Mr Conrad who pedals and then rides off on a Moped.

Ben and Ria return from Paris. The boy's note says, welcome back, when is dinner. Ben discovers a tin of pot in the couch. Ben worries about them not doing anything. Ria defends them. Ben blames Ria for pampering them. Ria blames Ben for his caustic criticism of them. They make up.

Leonard's wife want a new car. He wants a new era and tears up Ria's photo. He's upset because Ria coldly rebuffed his ultimatum. Thomas says he is lucky to have health, money and freedom.

Ria sees Leonard go into a bar with an attractive female client. She drives off in the Mini thinking he is free and she should pull herself together. She wonders how she would manage an affair anyway and hopes Ben will wait for her until it all passes.

In the park, a very pregnant Jeanie says hello to Ria and they chat. They discuss the committment and changes of marriage. Jeanie thinks Ria has a successful marriage and is doing what she wants.

Ben confronts the boys about the pot. It's not theirs but they admit smoking it. He warns them of the affects, which they like, and the law and then orders them to not smoke it in the house. Adam says they will smoke it at a friends house and Ben should try it - it would relieve some of his burden. Ben "washes his hands of them."

Ria comes in late. Ruby wonders why she doesn't just cook some eggs - eggs are easy and versatile. Ben will not eat in the same room with the boys and Russell takes a tray to him in the living room telling him to watch out for the gravy which has rocks in it. The boys complain to Ria in the kitchen how they can't get a job despite a good education. They say the pot makes the problems go away. Ria yells that they can't always have what they want. Russell prepares the sponge desert to take to Ben.
